The Tim Tebow Foundation is hosting its 6th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic presented by American Residential Services this Saturday, March 12 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach.
The Celebrity Golf Classic serves as the signature fundraising event for the Tim Tebow Foundation and promises to bring a marquee list of celebrity participants to the First Coast. Celebrity commitments for the weekend include: Tim Tebow, The Band Perry, Urban Meyer, Chipper Jones, Billy Horschel, Zach Johnson, Duck Dynasty members, Archie Griffin, Marcus Allen, Ashley Benson, Chris Tomlin, Tom Rinaldi, Hugh Freeze, Ashley Greene, Paul Finebaum, Danny Wuerffel and many more!
Over the course of the event’s five years, it has raised more than $5.5 million. But, that isn’t the most important narrative. The Celebrity Golf Classic not only raises money for the foundation’s initiatives, but it also provides a unique atmosphere for the North Florida region unmatched by other events.
This weekend, the Tim Tebow Foundation will welcome an array of celebrities to challenge the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course and will provide fans unique interaction opportunities throughout the day. Included among the spectators are more than 2,500 children from local charities, such as The First Tee, Step Up For Students, Dreams Come True and more!
“This is not your typical golf tournament,” said Tim Tebow, Founder and Chairman of the Tim Tebow Foundation. “Fans can expect a really fun and relaxed environment, while also having the opportunity to experience our ministries first hand, which is my favorite part.”
Fun interaction will be plentiful this Saturday, as highlights include a Lip Sync Competition on the 17th tee for all the golfers, a Silent DJ Dance contest on the 9th tee and the Spectator Putt on the 18th green.
The event also features an interactive fan-zone geared for adults and kids, with merchandise, delicious food and games, making it a fun-filled day for all!
The Tim Tebow Foundation welcomes fans of all ages to experience this one-of-a-kind event in a beautiful setting that raises significant funds for outreach initiatives, as 100% of proceeds from the tournament go towards serving children worldwide. Whether or not fans are able to attend the tournament, everyone can participate in the Helicopter Golf Ball Drop presented by Coastal Spine and Pain Center. Each golf ball sponsored by a suggested $15 donation will be dropped by helicopter onto a target on the TPC Sawgrass practice range.
This will take place immediately following the tournament, and prizes will be awarded to the five balls closest to the pin.
