Orlando City SC to Face Tampa Bay Rowdies in 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup

 ORLANDO – Orlando City SC is set to take on the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the Round of 32 of the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, the 110th edition of the cup competition.  The match, reigniting the I-4 Derby, will take place on Wednesday, May 7 at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, Florida, with all Round of 32 matches scheduled to take place from May 6-7. City’s match against the Rowdies is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on Paramount+.  Additionally, hosting priorities for the Round of 16 were determined as a part of Thursday morning’s draw live on CBS Sports Golazo Network’s Morning Footy. NASL: Carolina tops Minnesota, Tampa Bay and Indy end scoreless

NEW YORK --  A standing-room only crowd jammed Miller Stadium on Saturday night when Rayo OKC played its debut match, a scoreless draw against FC Edmonton, as the North American Soccer League (NASL) kicked off its 2016 Spring Season with a slate of four matches. Greek international Georgio Samaras nearly worked some late magic after entering in the 79th minute when he forced Eddies goalkeeper Matt VanOekel to make a point-blank save, and then turn away a shot from the rebound by Richard Menjivar. Rayo OKC dominated possession and scoring opportunities for the game's final hour after Edmonton defender Albert Watson was sent off midway through the first half. The NASL's other expansion club for the Spring Season, Miami FC, converted an early penalty kick, but conceded one in the match's dying minutes that allowed the Fort Lauderdale Strikers to earn a 1-1 draw. NASL: Atlanta, Edmonton Look To Gain Ground On First-Place Ottawa

NEW YORK  - After a busy Wednesday night that saw the New York Cosmos, Atlanta Silverbacks, and FC Edmonton pick up wins at home, Week 6 of the North American Soccer League (NASL) Fall Season rolls on this Saturday with a full slate of five matches. The red-hot Silverbacks will go for their fourth straight victory when they host the San Antonio Scorpions at 7:30 p.m. ET. Three other matches will kick off at the same time, as the Fort Lauderdale Strikers, Tampa Bay Rowdies, and Indy Eleven play host to the Cosmos, Jacksonville Armada FC, and Ottawa Fury FC respectively.  Rounding out Saturday night's fixtures is an 8 p.m. ET clash between Minnesota United FC and FC Edmonton at NSC Stadium in Blaine, Minn. NASL: Flores, Johnson Net Goals in 3-2 Loss to Rowdies

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Rowdies came out on top, 3-2, over the Jacksonville Armada FC at Al Lang Stadium on Saturday night in the clubs' first-ever North American Soccer League (NASL) regular season meeting. Jemal Johnson and Marcos Flores scored for the Armada FC. It was both players' second goals of the season.  In front of a crowd that sounded much louder than the announced attendance of 5,461, the clubs traded momentum. After the Rowdies went up 1-0 on a penalty kick from Tampa Bay's Maicon Santos in the 12 th  minute, Jacksonville took control of the rest of the half and seemingly sucked the life out of the home crowd. The Armada FC (1-2-0) answered in the 14 th  minute when Flores drew a penalty and tapped in a rebound off his penalty kick attempt to knot the score at 1-1.
