Major League Rugby: Miami Sharks Fall at Home to San Diego Legion
MIAMI (Florida Sports Wire) - The Miami Sharks (1-4) lost to the San Diego Legion (4-1) 22-21 in Major League Soccer on Sunday in Miami.
"We are left with a bitter feeling about the final result of the match. We played a very good game, fulfilling several of the objectives we had set for ourselves," said Team Manager Lucas Chioccarelli. "Win the battle of the game with your foot. Master contact, which we did in defense at times, and work individually for the team"
Sharks tries were scored by scrum-half Tomas Inciarte and fly-half Felipe Etcheverry. Etcheverry was 0/1 on conversions and 3/7 on penalty kicks.
""Without a doubt, if we had added every opportunity, the result would have been different, but we are satisfied because the team continues to grow, because the team played in a very good way from the beginning and because we competed against one of the best teams in the league," added Chioccarelli.
For San Diego, tries were scored by Hugh Roach, Lincoln McClutchie, and Connor Tupai. Ethan Grayson was 1/2 on conversions and 1/2 on penalty kicks.
Miami hosts New England on Sunday.
