GOLF: Jacksonville Concludes Competition at The Hayt

PONTE VEDRA BEACH (Florida Sports Wire)  - Jacksonville University men's golf wrapped The Hayt at Sawgrass Country Club on Monday with a 14th place finish.

Alexandre Vandermoten was the Dolphins' top-finisher, placing T21.He birdied his second hole of the day, using an excellent chip on his third shot to put the ball within inches of the hole. He finished the day with 13 pars, including a stretch of five in a row on the back nine. His 39 total pars in the tournament were fourth-most in the field.Jack Neill turned in his best round of the week, birdieing his final hole of his front nine and making par or better on eight of nine holes on the back. He had three red numbers in total and a steady day featured 13 pars as he shot even par 72. He led the team in Par-5 scoring in the event, shooting 6-under. His eight birdies tied with Vandermoten for most on the team.Joseph Sullivan had a birdie on his second hole and seven other pars on the front nine, closing his day with a pair of birdies on the back. James Dulin made a birdie and eight pars and Josef Hacker had 11 pars.Daniel Montalvo, playing as an individual, sank a team-best four birdies, adding eight pars.
