XFL Orlando Guardians Sign QB Paxton Lynch

 ORLANDO (Florida Sports Wire) – The XFL announced that quarterback Paxton Lynch has signed with the Orlando Guardians. 

Lynch, 28, joins the XFL after playing for the USFL in 2022, playing six games. Lynch was a first-round selection of the Denver Broncos in the 2016 NFL Draft, spending two seasons with the club. 

He also has experience with the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL and the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL.

was a three-year starter at the University of Memphis, where he ranks No. 3 all-time in pass completions (758) and passing yards (8,863), No. 4 in touchdowns responsible for (76) and touchdown passes (59). 

He holds the school record for single-season completion percentage (.668/2015) and ranks No. 3 on the Tigers’ single-season passing yards list (3,776/2015). He earned a bachelor’s degree from Memphis in May of 2016.

Lynch is a native of Deltona, Fla. and a graduate of Trinity Christian Academy.
