Rock Stadium Named Host Site of 2025 and 2026 ASUN Championship for Men's Lacrosse

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- The Rock Lacrosse Center on the campus of Jacksonville University will host the men's lacrosse Atlantic Sun Championships for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, the league announced.

"As a university, we are incredibly proud to be named the host site of the ASUN men's lacrosse conference tournament for the next two seasons," said Jacksonville Senior Vice President and Athletics Director, Alex Ricker-Gilbert. "Since the program's inception in 2010, we have seen tremendous growth and have become a national brand in lacrosse. Hosting the conference tournament is not just a testament to our progress, but also an exciting opportunity to showcase what men's lacrosse means to Northeast Florida to a broader audience. We look forward to welcoming teams and fans to Rock Stadium the next two years for what is sure to be a great tournament."

The Jacksonville men's lacrosse program, which began in 2010, just wrapped up its third consecutive season with at least 12 wins. The team continues to be ranked among the top programs in the country in a variety of statistics, both offensively and defensively, while individual players have picked up numerous awards. Most recently, Tucker Garrity and Ryan Della Rocco were named honorable mention All-Americans, and Jacob Greiner was named the ASUN's Male Student-Athlete of the Year. The Dolphins have finished in second place in two of the last three years in their respective conference tournaments, both happening away from the fabled 'Rock Beach.' Now, for the first time in program history, Jacksonville will host a conference tournament.

"We are honored to be able to host the ASUN men's lacrosse tournament here in Jacksonville," said JU head men's lacrosse coach, John Galloway. "When I got to JU, our athletic director and President painted a clear vision of what men's lacrosse could represent in North Florida. An event like this is a culmination of their vision and hard work. While we still must earn the right to participate in the tournament, we will make a commitment to provide an elite championship experience for all the student-athletes who earn the opportunity to compete for an NCAA tournament bid. Our hope is to be there fighting for that right on our home turf!"

The Atlantic Sun has sponsored men's lacrosse for a total of four years. JU was first a member for the 2014 season, and after a hiatus from the league and JU, rejoined ahead of the 2023 season. The Dolphins boast the second most ASUN wins, despite being in the SoCon during the 2022 season. The tournament has been played in Huntsville, Ala
bama; Macon, Georgia; Moon Township, Pennsylvania; and most recently, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
