West Ham United Announces Partnership with Visit Jacksonville for USA Tour

West Ham United Football Club announced a tour partnership with Visit Jacksonville that will highlight the vibrant and authentic values of Jacksonville, affectionately known as “The Flip Side of Florida," during the 2024/25 Sunshine State tour.

As part of the collaboration, Visit Jacksonville, which attracts over 22 million visitors per year will be integrated into various aspects of our tour, showcasing the city’s attractions and rich history. The team itself will be visiting Jacksonville for our match against Wolverhampton Wanderers at EverBank Stadium on 27 July.

Visit Jacksonville will feature on the LED advertising boards at both tour matches, providing exposure to both a US and global audience. The partnership will also create opportunities to collaboratively develop content that captures the essence of this great city.

In the ‘Flip Side of Florida Quiz,’ West Ham United first team players Vladimir Coufal, Lucasz Fabianski and Konstantinos Mavropanos were tested on their knowledge of Jacksonville while sharing fun facts about the city. Club Ambassador Anton Ferdinand will also visit a number of the city’s leading attractions. These content pieces will be distributed across West Ham United’s social media channels, website, and other digital platforms, offering fans a unique glimpse into what makes Jacksonville so special.

The Club’s US tour provides the ideal platform to highlight Jacksonville as a standout destination. From its stunning beaches, lively arts scene and welcoming community, Jacksonville truly captures the very best of Florida. The partnership aims to further enhance Jacksonville's appeal, positioning it as a must-visit location for travellers seeking authentic experiences.

Nathan Thompson, Chief Commercial Officer at West Ham United, commented: "This partnership with Visit Jacksonville is a testament to our commitment to forging meaningful connections across the globe. By showcasing Jacksonville’s culture and unique attractions, we are not only enhancing our tour experience but also championing a city that embodies the spirit of exploration and adventure. Together, we are excited to create unforgettable moments that will elevate Jacksonville as a premier destination for travellers worldwide."

Michael Corrigan, President & CEO of Visit Jacksonville said: “Through our partnership with West Ham United, we’re excited about reaching potential visitors from England and beyond,”

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the team and its fans to Jacksonville for part of the Stateside Cup this weekend and hopefully for visits beyond this match to show everyone the great things to see and do here, on the Flip Side of Florida.”
