With the victory, the Sounders secure direct entry into the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16.

Leagues Cup 2025 set a record-setting average attendance of 17,416 during the entire tournament.

Earlier in the day, the LA Galaxy earned a 2-1 victory over Orlando City in the Leagues Cup Third-Place Match on Sunday, awarding them the competition's third and final 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup spot. As the winner of the Third-Place match, LA Galaxy joins Seattle Sounders and Inter Miami as the first three MLS clubs to qualify for the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup.

Leagues Cup, an official Concacaf tournament, returned in 2025 with a new competitive format featuring top clubs from Major League Soccer and LIGA MX. A total of 62 matches were played across July and August, including 58 interleague showdowns hosted in stadiums across the United States and Canada. Fans in more than 100 countries and regions followed the tournament on MLS Season Pass via the Apple TV app. Inter Miami CF lifted the inaugural trophy in 2023, followed by Columbus Crew’s title run in 2024.

In addition to the high-level competition, Leagues Cup 2025 continued to drive social impact. Through the United Against Hunger initiative, the tournament met its goal and has now donated a cumulative total of 6.3 million meals across its first three editions in 2023, 2024, and 2025. MLS and LIGA MX have united to combat food insecurity in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, with two meals donated for every ticket sold. The effort reaffirms the tournament’s commitment to the 36 local communities represented by participating clubs.
