JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Armada FC, Jacksonville's new professional North American Soccer League (NASL) team, will play its inaugural soccer match against the Philadelphia Union at EverBank Field on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at 5 p.m.

Armada FC owner and CEO Mark Frisch joined with city leaders in Jacksonville to make the announcement on the preseason fixture - the first competitive match in the new club's history - which will be part of Armada FC's season ticket package currently on sale starting at $10 per seat.

"We are delighted to be able to announce our inaugural match against Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer to be played here in Jacksonville at EverBank Field on February 7," Frisch said. "We've teamed up with the City of Jacksonville to make this match a reality, and I think that it's fitting that we kickoff our professional history against a team of the Union's standing."

"We are thrilled to return to Jacksonville to play a preseason exhibition match against Armada FC in its inaugural match as it prepares for its first season in the North American Soccer League," said Philadelphia Union CEO and operating partner Nick Sakiewicz. "Armada FC owner Mark Frisch has been a great friend to us and we look forward to playing his team at EverBank Field to prepare for the upcoming season."

Mayor of Jacksonville, Alvin Brown, welcomed the fixture to the First Coast, saying: "We are excited to have our Jacksonville Armada FC's first game at EverBank Field to usher in a new era in professional sports. Hosting this preseason game against Philadelphia Union is a great opportunity to launch Jacksonville's newest professional sports franchise and continue our efforts to make Jacksonville a premier sports destination."
