Recap: Neidert, Quintana, Jumbo Shrimp Takes Series with 8-3 Win over Knights

JACKSONVILLE - The Jumbo Shrimp and Charlotte Knights wrapped up their three game weekend series Sunday with a 8-3 Jacksonville win.
Lorenzo Quintana's two-run homer in the seventh made it 8-2.
Earlir in the fifth, his triple drove in Charles Leblanc and Jerer Encarnacion to make it 6-0.
Jacksonville starter Nick Neidert pitched seven innings, gave up five hits, two runs and struck out eight in picking up his third win of the season.
Jake Fishman came on in the eighth and struck out the side. He gave up a solo home run to Adam Hasely in the ninth.
The visitors got in the board when Yolbert Sanchez smashed a two-run homer to left off of Neidert.
With Erik Gonzalez on base, Peyton Burdick's two-run homer off starter Mike Wright gave Jacksonville a 2-0 lead in the third.
Declan Cronin came on in relief of Wright. The Jumbo Shrimp added to their lead with two out. Leblanc scored on Luis Aviles, Jr. infield single.
Wright ran into some trouble earlier with one out in the second. He gave up a single to center by Aviles, Jr.
Aviles went to third on Norel Gonzalez base hit. But Bryson Brigman hit into a double play to end any Jumbo Shrimp threat.
It was Wright's first loss of the season. He gave up three runs on five hits.
Jacksonville goes on the road Tuesday for a six-game series against Gwinnett.
Notes: Former Jumbo Shrimp outfielder JJ Bleday made his MLB debut Saturday for the Miami Marlins against the Pirates at PNC Park. Bleday entered the game as a defensive sub in the bottom of the seventh inning for Brian Anderson. His first plate appearance came in the top of the ninth, when he worked a seven-pitch walk against Pittsburgh's David Bednar...
