XFL: Guardians' Patton Signs with Atlanta Falcons

ORLANDO (www.jaxsportsnews.com) – The XFL and Orlando Guardians announced today that defensive lineman Caeveon Patton has signed a contract with the National Football League’s Atlanta Falcons.

Patton was an All-XFL performer for the Guardians in the 2023 season. He recorded 40 tackles from his interior defensive line position, ranking No. 3 on the team and No. 17 in the XFL. Patton was No. 7 in the XFL in tackles for loss with 5.

Patton is the third Orlando Guardians player to sign with an NFL team since the conclusion of the XFL season, joining wide receiver Charleston Rambo (Philadelphia Eagles) and tight end Jordan Thomas (Carolina Panthers). With six players signing with NFL teams over the past two days, the total number of XFL players who have signed NFL contracts is now 43.

The Orlando Guardians will retain Patton’s rights should he return to the XFL.
