THIRTY AND THRIVING: In 2024, the Jaguars will celebrate their 30th season in the NFL. Tom Coughlin, the franchise’s first head coach was selected as the seventh member of the PRIDE OF THE JAGUARS last fall. As the team’s all-time winningest coach, the franchise will induct Coughlin at a game to be determined this season. The Jaguars unveiled their 30th season logo last month.
MILES TRAVELED: The Jaguars will travel the eleventh-most miles in the NFL during the 18-week regular season, logging 22,075 miles and 20 time zone changes. The farthest west the team will travel is Las Vegas. The trip to London will be the longest trip of the year at 4,250 miles.
WINNING WEATHER: The 2024 schedule has just one home game for Jacksonville in the month of September but features three home games in December. Since 2000, the average temperature in Jacksonville at kickoff has been a sweltering 83.5 degrees in September and a comfortable 62 degrees in the month of December (courtesy of TruMedia). Jacksonville closes its season with an indoor matchup against Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium.
HEADING SOUTH FOR THE OPENER: Jacksonville will head south to kick off their 2024 regular season campaign against the Miami Dolphins in Week 1. The game will be the Jaguars shortest road trip of the season at just 327 miles. The Jaguars have faced the Dolphins 10 times in franchise history with each team winning five games. The last time the two played was at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London in Week 6 of the 2021 season. QB Trevor Lawrence led a game winning drive, the first of his career, in a 23-20 win. Jacksonville has never played Miami to open a regular season and has played an AFC East opponent in Week 1 once, a 13-10 victory against Buffalo in 2004. This will be the third consecutive year the Jaguars begin the regular season on the road.
BROWNS AT THE BANK: The Jaguars will kick off their home slate of games with a matchup against the Cleveland Browns at EverBank Stadium in Week 2. The 2024 season marks the second time the Jaguars have played against the Browns at home in the month of September. Jacksonville is 12-7 all-time against Cleveland, 5-4 at home.
Doug Pederson will return to Philadelphia for the second time as an opposing head coach in a Sunday Night prime-time matchup against the Eagles in Week 9. Pederson carries a 26-14-1 record at Lincoln Financial Field into the game. The Jaguars are 3-3 all-time against NFC opponents on Sunday Night. In their last matchup versus an NFC team on Sunday night, they defeated the Tampa Buccaneers 17-10 on Nov. 30, 2003.
FAMILIAR FOES: Jacksonville begins their 2024 divisional slate with a visit to Houston in Week 4. The Jaguars have faced the Texans in Week 4 once before, in 2008, when they came out victorious with a 30-27 overtime win on Sept. 28. The two teams conclude their season series in Jacksonville on Dec. 1st in Week 13. With a win in Houston, Jacksonville would secure the first three-game road winning streak against the Texans in franchise history.
The Jaguars will face a second consecutive AFC South rival when the Colts visit Jacksonville in Week 5. If the Jaguars win, it will be the ninth straight home victory against the Colts dating back to 2015. The Jaguars finish their regular season series with the Colts in Week 18 on a date to be determined. The 2024 campaign will be the first time Jacksonville has closed its regular season against the Colts since 2021, a 26-11 home victory. If the Jaguars can sweep the Colts, it would be the first four-game winning streak against Indianapolis in franchise history.
The Jaguars matchup with the Titans for the first time in Week 14 on Dec. 8th and again four weeks later in Week 17 on Dec. 29. This season marks the first time since 1997 that Jacksonville has matched up with Tennessee twice in the same month.
EURO STEPPING: The Jaguars are once again slated to play two games in London in 2024. The first game, against the Chicago Bears, will take place in Week 6 on Oct. 13 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Jacksonville will take on the New England Patriots the following Sunday at Wembley Stadium on Oct. 20. Last season, the Jaguars became the first NFL franchise to win consecutive games not played on American soil after they defeated the Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills across the pond. OLB Josh Allen posted 3.0 sacks against Atlanta and became the first player in NFL history to record at least 3.0 sacks outside of the United States. RB Travis Etienne Jr. set a Tottenham-Hotspur Stadium record with 184 scrimmage yards in the Jaguars Week 5 victory against Buffalo.

LOOKING NORTH: The Jaguars are set to face two NFC North teams consecutively in Week 10 (Minnesota Vikings) and 11 (Detroit Lions). This marks the first time since 2012 the Jaguars matchup against consecutive NFC North opponents.
Minnesota is one-of-six teams the Jaguars have faced seven times or fewer in franchise history. In Week 11, the Jaguars travel to Detroit for the fifth time in franchise history. Jacksonville is looking for its first win against Detroit since 2008.
FIVE-YEAR HIATUS: In Week 15, the New York Jets return to EverBank Stadium for the first time since 2019. The Jaguars are 5-1 all-time against the Jets at home and have won two straight on their home turf since 2018. They have outscored New York 160-64 in six home contests, including a 41-0 victory in Week 5 of the 2006 season.
GONE FOR THE WEEK: The Jaguars have their latest Bye in team history, as they will not play in Week 12 for the first time.
FIRST TIME VISITOR: The Jaguars will visit Allegiant Stadium—which opened in 2020—for the first time to take on the Raiders in Week 16. The last time the Jaguars played the Raiders on the road was in 2019, the Raiders’ final game in Oakland, a 20-16 Jacksonville victory.
