ECHL: Icemen Stumble, 4-3; Kelly Cup Series Heads to Estero

JACKSONVILLE (www.sportsdayjax.com) - Joe Pendenza (5) scored with less than three minutes to play to give the Florida Everblades a 4-3 win over the Jacksonville Icemen before 6,873 Sunday at Veterans Memorial Arena.

Ben Masella's shot was stopped by Icemen goaltender Parker Gahagen but the rebound was put home by Pendenza.

Matt Iacopelli (4), Ben Hawerchuk (1) and Jacob Panetta (1) tallied for Jacksonville.

Sean Josling had a power play goal and an assist for the visitors. Josling leads the ECHL in playoff goals with six.

Florida was 1 for 2 on the power play. Jacksonville was 0 for 3. Jacob Friend recorded two helpers for the Icemen.

Oliver Chau (2) and Logan Lambdin (4) scored for the Everblades.

Cam Johnson stopped 40 shots for the Everblades. Gahagen made 24 saves for the Icemen.

Florida takes a 2-0 lead into the ECHL Southern Division final. The series moves to Estero and the Hertz  Arena on Wednesday.
