FSU Season Opener Set For Primetime Kick On ABC

TALLAHASSEE – Florida State’s 2023 season opener, the Camping World Kickoff against LSU, will be broadcast on ABC with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff, it was announced Tuesday as part of the Disney Upfront presentation.

This year’s game will be played September 3rd at Camping World Stadium in Orlando following a 24-23 Florida State victory over LSU in last season’s Allstate Louisiana Kickoff inside the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The Seminoles hold an 8-2 lead in the all-time series and have won five in a row over the Tigers.

The 2023 season opener marks the ninth time in the last 11 seasons Florida State has been featured in primetime on Labor Day weekend and the third consecutive Labor Day Sunday showcase for the Seminoles.

This year’s matchup is the highlight of the season’s opening weekend, featuring two consensus preseason top-10 teams that finished 10-win seasons with bowl victories in Camping World Stadium.

Florida State defeated Oklahoma in the Cheez-It Bowl to finish 10-3 with a No. 11 ranking in the final Associated Press poll, while the SEC Western Division champions LSU beat Purdue in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl for a 10-4 final record and No. 16 ranking in the AP poll.

Season tickets are available to purchase online at Seminoles.com/tickets or by calling the Ticket Sales and Service Office at (850) 644-1830.
