MACON, Ga. - Jacksonville's Kori Babineaux received Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball weekly honors on Monday becoming the second Dolphin honored this year. He's averaged 18.5 PPG, 2.5 APG & 3.0 SPG in two games.
The junior guard from Folsom, Calif. led Jacksonville to a 14-point home victory against Jacksonville State as he tallied 26 points with two rebounds and two assists.
He shot 9-of-13 on field goals to give JU its fifth win of the season. Against Mississippi State, Babineaux produced 11 points, three assists and five steals.
It's his first career Atlantic Sun Newcomer of the Week honor. He played in all but two minutes during the week for the Dolphins.
