NFL: Late Field Goal Lifts Jaguars Over Giants, 25-24

(JACKSONVILLE, Fla) -- Josh Scobee kicked a 43-yard field goal with 28 seconds remaining to give the Jacksonville Jaguars a stunning 25-24 come-from-behind victory over the reeling New York Giants on Sunday at Everbank Field.

The Jaguars (2-10) scored a pair of defensive touchdowns in the second half to rally from a 21-0 deficit, ending a four-game slide while sending the Giants (3-9) to their seventh straight loss.

Blake Bortles helped the comeback, throwing for 194 yards with a touchdown. He also rushed for a team-high 68 yards on five carries, including a 20-yard run that set up Scobee's go-ahead kick.

Josh Brown kicked a 33-yard field goal to give the Giants a 24-22 lead with 3:26 remaining, ending a string of 22 straight Jacksonville points, but the Jaguars would not be denied.

Jacksonville overcame a pair of penalties and marched 55 yards to reach field goal range for Scobee, who easily split the uprights to put the Jaguars back on top. Bortles keyed the drive with a pair of big plays. He followed a false start penalty with a 22-yard pass to Marqise Lee and later followed a holding call with his 20-yard run to the New York 20-yard line.

The Jaguars defense then sealed it on the first play after the kickoff when Eli Manning fumbled while being sacked and Chris Clemons recovered.

Manning threw for 247 yards with a touchdown and Rashad Jennings ran for 91 yards with a pair of scores for New York, which hasn't won since a 30-20 triumph against Atlanta on Oct. 5.
