Flagler: Antanas Mikuzis Selected as the PBC Player the Week
AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College attacker Antanas Mikuzis was selected as the Peach Belt Conference’s Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week as released by conference officials on Monday.
Mikuzis is the first player in the program’s history to receive the weekly conference honor.The Western Springs, Illinois native broke the Flagler record for goals in a game as he scored seven against Shorter University in conference action. Mikuzis scored two of the Saints first three goals and had four in the first quarter alone.Two of his goals came a man up and he added one caused turnover. He took eight shots in the game, all on goal, and he added one assist for eight total points.
His seven goals are the most in a single game in the Peach Belt so far this season and his eight points is tied for second-most in a game. Mikuzis is currently fifth in the PBC in goals per game and ninth in points per game.Flagler hosts Lander University on Saturday (April 15) in the final regular season home game at the Flagler Lacrosse Field at noon.
